Should I apply gel stain over poly?
i have already applied poly to my brown paper bag cabinet, can you gel stain over poly and would you still be able to see wrinkles?

Yes, you can use gel stain over poly. I'm not sure if you'll still see the wrinkles as well. I would test a small spot and see.
Hi Jackie, I agree with Ann, I would test it. My gut says that if the gel stain is light enough you should be able to see the wrinkles.
Yes you can. Brush on the gel stain and gently wipe off with paper towels to highlight the wrinkles. You can also use regular stain or 50/50 watered down paint using the same process.
