You need to go to the original post.
You can use a long zig zag stitch over some yarn or thin rope/twine where you want your gathering to go. Be sure to Sew over your yarn/rope, you don’t want to catch any of the string or you won’t be able to pull them. Then pull your ends of yarn or rope to make your gathers as tight or loose as you want. Tie off the ends to keep the gathering in place. Now with a regular stitch, sew down The gathers to keep them in place. Sew another straight stitch about 1/4 - 1/2 inch away but try to keep these straight stitches inside your seam allowance. That should do it. You Tube this for a better explanation and pictures to guide you. Good Luck with your project.
