I like to use Lysol Lime and Rust remover. It's the best cleaner I've found for this purpose.

best use for coke is mixed with bourbon, 2nd best use is pour a liter or 2 in the toilet bowl, let set for a few hours and swish with a stiff brush then flush. i would pour a bucket of water in the bowl to get a flush without water coming back in, then use enough coke to cover the water ring thn let it set before brushing. when you flush normally, it will refill as it should..

you can also use CLR, but its a chemical and some prefer not to use chemicals..

Believe it or not, I did not clean my toilet bowl for 8 years and I thought it was ruined! The reason why is immaterial. I drained all the water from the toilet, as much as I could, and sprayed CLR on the dry toilet walls so that it would not just slide off. I eft it on all night and when I went in the next day to scrub the calcium deposits off it was completely clean and smooth!! I did not need to do anything. I did not need to scrub anything from the toilet bowl. I turned the water back on and flushed the toilet and it looked as new as I purchased it 8 years ago!!!
