How do I "untexturize" walls?
The house we bought has some textured walls, some different textures in the same room! What is the easiest way to untexturize them?

We covered ours with shiplap. The estimates to have them fixed was pretty pricey.
If it’s not Lincrusta, and it’s drywall compound, then I can think of 3 methods:
spray water & vinegar on them & scrape them off, like wallpaper.
Take a sander to them.
Skim coat and fill in the texture.
There might be a reason why they textured the walls- like they were damaged when someone improperly removed wallpaper.
Good news is: new drywall is cheap.
What is your time worth? Some of my ideas are very time consuming.
