Put several cut up lemons through it. If that doesn't work try a bunch of ice cubes. I use a bottle brush to brush stuff off the sides inside using lots of hot running water. Wash the rubber gismo that sits in the sink hole with a brush and soapy water.

Pour ½ cup baking soda then ½ cup white vinegar in the drain and cover, letting sit for 20 minutes. Boil water, remove cover, and pour water down the drain. You may have to repeat the process.
