Do you know what is in this box in our loft (picture)?
Haven't managed to get in here yet. Trying to lift the sealed lid and too scared to bash a hole in!This is what sounds like a hollow box in the cove in our loft conversion in a house we just purchased. I want to install shelves but it's in the way.The room directly underneath is the bathroom but there's no taps or anything in the top room so shouldn't think it would be extra plumbing.Confused

After some googling I think it could be a water tank that's been boxed in rather than removed when the loft was converted. Will investigate and update
Maybe it's an old radiator?
Could be heating ducts. But just pry it open and find out.
Get a crowbar/prybar at the Dollar Tree and get the lid up to see what's inside.
