    You can purchase one of these Appliance Paint products. I'd use a green scrubby to remove the rust first and use CLR or similar on it before painting. If you ever want to paint a stove or oven you need high-heat paint for that.

    I've used Rustoleum appliance spray for projects. Make sure you remove all the rust. There are also kits available. I was really impressed with Rustoleum kit for tubs and tile. Click on the picture next to my answer, here, and it will take you to my sink project, where I removed a lot of rust.

    Sand off rust first and treat with Rust Reformer spray paint. Once frig is thoroughly cleaned. Take out side and spray paint it .

    They make a spray appliance paint. Sand off rust with steel wool, clean, then prime and paint.
