My Brass Fireplace Fender was almost black, dingy, AWFUL! After trying EVERY metal cleaner in my cupboard, in desperation I tried "Barkeepers Friend Cleanse" & a soft moist sponge. VOILA! Amazing Job, bright & shiny again.
If the tray was varnished (?) when it was new it has absorbed grunge from the atmosphere over time. You're taking off the grunge & Maybe some of the varnish but the tray should look almost new again!
Every time I clean my mirrors, they end up having tons of streaks and almost look worse than before I started. What could I use to clean them that won't leave streaks...
