What type of paint should I use on fabric window shades?

I think the shades came from IKEA. I wanted to paint them a dark grey and stencil a lighter grey on top. I have four shade to resurface.

Here's some good ideas Pat! I think the small bottles of acrylic craft paint would work just fine!

Oh that sounds pretty!! Use a mineral or chalk based paint. :) Add a little bit of water to the paint and have a spray bottle of water on hand. Keep the fabric slightly damp and begin to paint. Once the fabric is try you can add your stencil! :)
