How can I finish the inside of a 40' x 30' metal building?

How to finish the inside of a metal garage? Spent to much on the foundation and the building. Now winter is coming and need to finish the inside to keep it from getting too cold.

    1. Buy insulation batting Fiberglass insulation can be installed in the garage as batts or rolls in the exposed wall cavities and exposed ceiling.
    2. Cellulose insulation can be blown-in to the walls and ceiling cavity of the garage.
    3. Spray foam insulation would be applied to the open cavities of the walls and ceiling to create an air seal.

Personally I would love to have the spray foam insulation. Then you can sheet rock you walls when you get a chance to finish it up.

We insulated ours with batt insulation and then covered it with plastic. We eventually finished the whole interior with tin. Our electric is run in conduit on the surface of the tin and not inside the walls so we didn't have to worry about covering up any electrical wiring. In northern MN the temp inside the garage hovers between 0 and 20 degrees in the winter depending on the temp outside. Insulating made a HUGE difference here!

You need to insulate it first before you sheetrock or do anything.

I would glue 2" foam insulation board to the metal. Then cover with plywood.
