Hi Emie, this video will show you how - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLf2K_GCnUo Have fun
Hello Emie,
Lay the painting on a table then cut out pieces of card or thick paper into oblongs long enough to over run the sides of the triangle by 2". Cut the width of the paper the width of the frame you would like. Now with these strips line them up with the picture, slightly lipping the edge. This should give you overlaps at the pointed corners. Draw a straight line from the inside to the outside at the point they cross, and cut through the strips to form a Mitred corner. When you have all corners done, the pieces will form a frame. discard the scraps!. Now what you have to do is find the frame moulding or timber you want to do the job and cut it to match the "Templates" you have made. Glue/Staple across the joints. place the painting in and cut a fit a backing to suit. Attach it to the back using staples or pins and fix your hangers. Hope that helps you.........

You can always take your painting to a hardware store and have them measure and cut the wood for you. Then use wood glue and a stapler to connect the pieces.
