How can I clean stubborn toilet ring?

I have well water and my toilet has this aweful ring around where the water sits and nothing I use will remove it completely

Rebecca: you may need a pumice stone. Be gentle tho!
Another vote for a pumice stone. Use ear protection because the noise it makes is awful. But it works great!
