Will a completely closed pod open after it is cut?

      Sorry comment was cut off. My question was will a completely closed cotton pod open up once a stem is cut to to be dry out? Or does it have to begin to start opening before I cut the stem? I have several opened cotton pods on one stem but a couple that haven’t opened..? If I wait for all to open up the others won’t look as pretty when I dry the stem out. Hope this makes more sense

    Oh! I might have been able to answer if I had teleport vision, but sadly or maybe just as well, as we don't really want others to be able to see everything we are looking at - or do we?

      Thank you! I’ve never posted a question before so I was cut off when I was trying to ask the question I want to use some stems of cotton for decoration and there are a few pies that have an opened up yet on one particular stem
