These are the builder grade light fixtures in all the bedrooms. Like the door knobs my daughter was not a fan of them but like the door knobs it is an easy fix with Rustoleum oil rubbed bronze metallic spray paint.

Step one is to be sure to safely remove the fixture and clean the metal well. Tape off anything you do not want spray painted and you are set.

Here is the paint progress on the bathroom vanity and door knobs but you get the idea. Spray in well ventilated area with the floor protected from over spray and wear a mask. Apply many light coats for a flawless finish.

Let the pieces dry well before reinstalling and just like that you have new to you light fixtures that are no longer brassy shiny and dated.

Even Cooper thinks they are a great update in his new play room ;)

Never underestimate the power of paint!! It can make huge changes in virtually anything.
