How can I paint my cabinets doors that are not real wood?

My cabinets are wood all but the doors. It feels like plastic although I know it's not. What kind of paint do I use or can they nor be painted.

    Just clean well, prime, and paint.

    Yes. Use Grip It primer or product like that. Go to a stand alone paint store to get correct products. Take a door with you. Don't go to the large box hardware stores , assoc are usually part time and don't have the knowledge to help.

    A stain blocking, gripping primer will work well. Go to Sherwin Williams or Ben Moore and get the proper primer. Prime, sand and then paint. If you have a sprayer, your cabinets will come out better. Use a Mohair roller and a purdy brush. You do not want brush or roller marks.
