We just did this as well Brenda. Its very easy! You just need to pry off the old counter, and replace with the new laminate. Take measurements so you know where to cut sink holes, etc.
Go to Home Depot, Lowe’s etc. They have these faux stone countertop kits for $200-$300. End results look amazing!
We had countertops made by Home Depot. They will take measurements. The old countertops had to be removed, first. There is probably caulk between the old countertops and the wall. Be sure to cut that before you try to remove the old counter.
