How do I paint a lampshade?
Bought lamps for son's new house. They arrived and the shades have a green tint. Yuck! I wanted them to be White like they looked online. Can they be spray painted?

Yes but it will block out the light.
I have spray painted lampshades, degree of satisfaction depends on what the shade is made from. I have also used watered down paint and done a whitewash effect until I got the color I wanted, again depends on what you have to start with.
Marsha: why not complain to the shipping source/store? You may be able to get them replaced at no charge.
Can you return the shades as long as they are not what you want?
