What is the best way to transfer plants from outside to the indoors for winter
I put in my bathroom last winter in the tub and made sure they got plenty of sunlight. This year I think I'm going to see how they do outside.
Here's some gardening information for bringing plants inside for winter Jody!
Hi Jody: Well, depending on the plant, if they are perennials you can just leave them outside. Maybe cover then with mulch or leaves. If they are annuals, put them in new pots with good soil, water them and then bring then into the garage or basement. You may want to water them a bit once a month, but they should go dormant, but annuals are just that, annual :( Some will reseed, and will come back, so give it a try. In the spring, water them and put the pots outside in the sun, but bring them back in at night. They need to harden off, or get used to the cooler weather gradually. Sometimes, geraniums can be repotted and brought inside and put into a sunny window. They will get flowers on them, but will be leggy. Good luck
See if these help.
