I use silverware trays, small boxes and embroidery floss boxes in my dresser drawers for all my jewelry.
Personally I like enclosed jewelry storage. I use clear plastic compartmented, stackable boxes with removable dividers. For the box storing sterling silver jewelry I cut strips of Hagerty silver retardant paper and tape the strips to the inside of the lid. There are plenty of these boxes on Amazon.

I purchased a jewelry chest since I own so much it has a top that flips up for rings two doors with places to hang necklaces drawers for bracelets and individual squares lined for earrings.
