Well you can't make more space, but use what ou have efficiently. What is your specific issue? What is on your balcony? Can you share a photo?
In the condo I lived in briefly, I had a table, 2 chairs and a bunch of plants. On the floor I had a pretty rug and a bunch of battery candles.
Problem with balcony use is you should determine how much weight it can support. Too often we read in paper of a balcony collapsing. Also I just found out that our upper balcony (in fact all porches) are not to code (too short) I don't think this is dangerous and would not prevent re-sale but would make me cautious about having too many people there.
What size is your balcony ? I would use some metal shelving on one side to hold some plants or entertaing items. Then 2 chairs with 1 ottoman with a gray on it .
