    Hi Mary Lynne

You could paint a glass jar orange and put the lights inside. Decorate the outside top and maybe bottom of the jar with faux fall leaves and twine. Or you could mod podge yellow, red, and orange on the outside of the glass instead of painting it. You could paint a pumpkin or fall leaves on canvas then poke holes randomly and install the lights. Another though would be to bring in some thin branches to create a bare "tree" and put the lights around the branches. I hope that gives you some inspiration. Wishing you the best.

I Good ideas, Linda! Mary Lynne, you could go shopping at the $1 stores and Goodwill, etc., for clear glass pumpkin shapes. Over the years, I have accumulated three. I have my fairy lights out to put in one, along with the Halloween chocolates. I may put some tulle in the bowl, if the right sprite inspires me. In the opaque white pumpkin, I will put all the gum and non-chic candy, spilling out the top, with a spray of faux leaves and picks cascading down the side. The other clear pumpkin holds the “odd” Kerig cups, like decaf, pumpkin spice tea, and green tea, all year long. I put an autumn leaves placemat under the Kerig setup to make it special. These pumpkins can be used as soup tureens, and sometimes we have a soup and sandwiches drop-in open house, offering hot and cold soups and a bunch of sliders and ciabatta bread small subs. I paid $3 or less for each pumpkin. Jewell

  • You can run them as a garland, tuck them into clear jars or jack o lantern or regular lanterns.
