How can I fix my peeling headboard?

Is it peeling paint or leather?

Hi Joann. If your headboard is wooden and you have paint peeling off of it, you should sand it down to the wooden surface. Then paint or stain the color of your choice.

I bought this stuff on Amazon that is meant for patching leather and vinyl. You paint it on like nail polish and when it dries it feels like leather. I don't think you can get it perfect but it's better than a hole in the headboard and it stopped further tearing. I think it was only around $5 for a small bottle.

Try Using a Stabilizer, then touching in the areas that are peeling with liquid leather.

What is the headboard made of?
