Spray paint. Lightly scuff up the surface with a green kitchen scrubby or 220 grit sandpaper. Several light coats will give you a smooth finish.

Lightly sand and then use silver paint.
You can spray paint it. I would remove the glass and picture. Then clean with denatured alcohol and spray paint.
