How do I paint metal?

Hi Barb, the best I've found for metal is to first make sure its as clean and rust free as possible. After that my best results have been with Rustoleum's metal spray paint.

Agreed with GrandmasHouseDIY. Rustoleum makes great sprays.

If its a low traffic area you can also use chalk paint

Remove rust with a stiff wire brush, scuff with fine steel wool, clean with denatured alcohol, spray prime & paint with metal formulated paint.
