What is your stove top made of?
I wipe down with my blue Dawn & warm water dish water. Then damp microfiber to have a streak free clean. Mine is black and stainless so it will show any grease or streaks.
I use Cerama Bryte for my glass at stove top and it does a fantastic job. Use the proper stove top scrubber so that you do not scratch the glass. You can wipe it don with hot water and vinegar to remove the residue and give it a nice sheen.
