I think it’s water related.
Before attempting to re-adhere, it must be thoroughly dried & inspected for water damage at the “stud level”.
Water inside the wall will not dry out without causing wood rot and that’s serious.
Also re-aim or just move the sprinklers.
If you need to repair the glueing surface make sure it’s shedding water properly at the bottom, with flashing tucked under it.
If the manufacturer says, “heavy duty construction adhesive” and it failed, then replace the mounting substrate and use more of what the manufacturer says to use.

There is a special make decorative stone you can purchase that is made for just that. See your home improvement store for it. The stone looks real and is, but not as heavy and deep as full scale rocks. They cut them thinner and it is much easier to put it on than the individual stones.
