Hi Marie. My name is Cindy. Try making a paste with salt and lemon juice. Put it on the rust and leave it set for an hour. Then rinse it off and allow to dry. Repeat if necessary. This paste will also remove rust from lawn tools like shovels, rakes, etc. Good luck Marie.
Try steel wool or baking soda
Put the pan in a plastic bag with a couple tablespoons of ammonia and tie it up. Leave overnight and wash it the next day.
