How can I decorate a hanging lamp over my desk?

I needed a hanging lamp over my desk, and found one, with a orange type film on the globe. When I washed it, the orange film came, off and now have just a plain glass round globe about the size of a smaller basketball. Any idea's on something I can do to dress this up and not have a plainglass globe hanging there.

Use glass paint to add a design. (Be sure you use an LED bulb that doesn't get hot.) You could also decoupage the globe.
I am a simple person, I would probably add a huge imitation butterfly to it.
