Hi Carolyn - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Our DIY mold remover is safe for all surfaces, so I recommend trying it. I am a chemist, so I suggest finding out the source of the mold before beginning to clean it. Even after the mold is killed, it can still leave stains on surfaces like wood. So, keep that in mind after you clean it: https://chemistrycachet.com/the-best-way-to-remove-mold-mildew/
The mold could be coming or caused by what is underneath the paneling. Mold feeds on damp sources. Is it possible you have a water source coming in from behind this room? I was told by a reputable restoration company the hydrogen peroxide is the only thing that kills the mold--bleach mainly just bleaches the color and will not kill it.
