Replacing counter tops are so expensive I was just wondering if anyone has repainted theirs to look like marble or granite.

My son did this to his and they look great! Extremely durable, too. The sides/edges are a little lumpy, though. Not really a big deal, because the cost savings is enormous. I recommend starting on a small counter like in the bathroom. He was very impressed with how easy they were to redo. He tried it in his kitchen, his fiance didn't like the color he chose and it was very simple for him to change it. Highly recommend it.

CONTACT PAPER ~ Go to Walmart & get some contact paper that looks like marble or granite. I got some there & did a portion of my countertop with the marble & it looks just like marble. I got some granite to do another area. It comes in a variety of designs & colors. Just peel n stick.
