What's the best way to prepare wood paneling before painting?
It's a large room with three walls of nice varnished wood which we want to keep and paint light where we can still see the wood details.
I’ve painted all of the paneling in my older double wide probably 5 years ago. It had dark paneling so I wasn’t sure if I should prime it. I bought one of those small samples of paint sold in Lowe’s. I figured it was worth the investment so I could find out about primer. It went on well and it covered.
We used a primer first and then painted it. Turned out perfect and we love it!
Thick nap roller.
