Is there a spray to get rid of geckos?

They are beneficial to your yard and garden and eat bugs and pests. I have hundreds of them and love them. If you are dead set on getting rid of them, here are things you can do.

Naomie is right. They are only there because there is a food source. If you rid yourself of them, you'll be overrun with bugs, then have to deal with that, too.

If you have geckos inside your house, a cat or a small dog will chase them down. If you want to catch and release the geckos, they love to sun on curtains in a bright window. They can sun their backs, yet hide in the folds of the curtains. They won’t hurt you! I had some goofy ninth grade students one year who brought geckos to class to startle me. Didn’t work. But they would let the geckos latch onto their earlobes. The geckos would stay their until they were startled. But seriously, grab each one lightly, then toss it into your yard. They love insects. I’m not trying to hurt them! I’m just trying to deter them from coming into my home. I do have a small dog but these little creatures like to hide in closets etc. I just want to find them in my bed or scare any houseguest I may have.
