We had an extra refrigerator (given to us) in the man cave. It had a very nasty work scratched in the front so for years I covered it with a picture and magnets. We painted it with appliance paint and now I don't have to hide the front. Turned out beautiful and so easy. Good luck

Have not done that, but there are appliance re-painting kits. Spray paint is probably the best bet. Tape off or remove anything that can be removed.
