I found this article that may be of interest... It is also possible that the caulk can be softened with a heat gun but use caution because it may melt a countertop (if it's made of laminate). I hope this helps!
Get a plastic scraper at Home Depot or Lowes that removes caulking. Works great.
Caulking removal is very easy. Just use pick and all will start to come off
