Hi Celia, maybe this will help. I use vinegar and warm water and cover it. This one also suggests the addition of baking soda. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/bathroom/diy-how-to-clean-your-drain-naturally-1235410
DIY - How to clean your drain naturally
Hi Celia,

9 out of 10 times I find hair in the drain. Use a hair grabber. They are long with barbs to pull the hair out.
Try this
I use the hair grabber to get out the hair and then clean by putting some baking soda in the drain (just shake it into the holes of the drain as best you can), then pour some vinegar in there. I let that sit for a few minutes and then I pour boiling water down to clear it all out. It has helped my drains to have the water drain mire quickly and they smell more fresh as well.
