How can I secure my jade plants so they don't fall over?

My Jade plants are falling over. What's the best way to secure them upright. They are in pots.

You can put a tall, thin piece of wood like a dowel and tie to that. Just make sure it is a loose tie so that it doesn't cut into the plant.

I think this is a common issue with jade. I have mine in a large pot and they kind of grow across rather than up.

Thank you Kathy. That's what one of mine is doing, growing sideways. I was afraid it would fall out of pot. Thanks again. Ruth

If they are inside, you can put something next to them to keep them from falling over like a heavier plant or decoration. Outside you could use a rock or brick or another larger plant. If they can be trimmed, maybe trimming them would make them more balanced so they do not fall over. Hope these ideas help, Ruth.

    Yes thanks.

  • Well being the rogue gardener that I am, I just cut off the limb, root it and start a new plant. Or . . . Repot into a larger vessel that is more stable and won't topple over from the weight.

I think I'll give cutting of limb. Thank you
