How do I paint bathroom travertine tiles?

    Oh, please don't. You'll ruin the value of the tile. Plus Travertine is the Swiss cheese of tile, lots if holes and trevesses. I just don't think it would look good either. If inside shower area it will peel. You can't fill in holes with plaster because not water proof.

    Sorry to copy Kelli, but don’t. You can clean the tile with a cup filled half way with vinegar, and the other half with baking soda. It will foam, then settle down. Use a sponge to clean the tile with the solution, scrubbing when necessary, rinsing when finished. You could seal the tiles, or recaulk any missing caulk or grout. Paint won’t replace rock, which is what travertine, marble, and ceramics are. Best wishes, Jewell
