How do I get rid of cat odors from my garden?
We have a wild outside cat. I planted a flowering bush and put mulch around it. Well the cat has been using it as a litter box. I got rid of the feces, but the smell is still there and attracting flies. What can be done to get rid of the smell (without hurting the bush) besides taking up the mulch? I in closed the bush so the cat cannot go back in there.

Spread lemon and orange zest in the mulch. Spray citrus or tea tree essential oils. Plant Rue plants amongst your other plantings.
Place metal screening or other sharp/harsh objects in the mulch.
I agree that you'll need to replace the mulch. Then, plant or spray as advised above before and after you place the new mulch.
