I have a very small bedroom and decided to paint but on a tight budget. What I have is a half gallon of light soft purple and a half gallon of light gray paint. Can this be done? My accents in the bedroom is gold, soft greens , deep velvet purple curtains with gold throughout. thank you, sorry I don't have the name of the paints both are behr paints for interior walls. The purple I used in my guest room which is very pretty with a light gray accent wall.

What I have done before is purchase more paint from mistints or free from the recycle center and mix them. As long as it is in the same color family and it's the same type of paint (latex) they will mix. Do this before you start. You will have a new color, but you will have enough for your whole project. I've painted a whole house this way. For example, I get varying shades of white and beige, dump into larger bucket and mix really well. I've ended up with beautiful colors for free.

Or you could do an accent wall behind your bed with your favored color and consider buying another gallon. It's hard to cover another color with a small amount of paint. You could buy a mistint as suggested, or a gallon of a soft white or ivory for your mixing.

Yes, it should work as long as they are both latex paints.

Do two walls gray two walls purple those colors go nice then on the gray side you put purple things around the room and the purple side put gray things around
