How can I repair a dishwasher that is not draining?

there is a little water left in bottom of dishwasher after wash. how do i get rid of it.

There are a few reasons this could happen. Most commonly is the drain line might be slightly clogged or need to be cleaned. The newer models have removable strainers you take out and wash at the base of the propeller that spins and disburses water on the inside.

It might be normal for some water to be left, check with the manufacturer. Or, if the filter is at the bottom, take it out and clean it.
