If it is water seeping thru the block you may need a French drain or sump pump. If it is occasional then a water block like UGL or Sunny Dry paint may suffice. Wear a respirator NOT a paper mask in dealing with black mold.
After it’s removed buy a dehumidifier. There’s one big consideration though. Most people don’t buy the right size, or buy enough units for the space. Dehumidifiers are rated by how many square feet they treat. For example, let’s say someone has 400 sq. ft. to treat. They buy one unit that’s rated for 100 sq. ft. and are disappointed because it’s not treating the area.
How much mold? Just on the surface? Or in the walls? First thing is to determine why it is getting moldy. Typically lack of proper ventilation. You may need a dehumidifier.
