By this time of the fall season we have all accumulated masses of pumpkins I am sure. Before you toss them, I have an idea for you to get one last use out of them and it may not be what you expected. Make them into your Fall or Thanksgiving celebration centerpiece.

I used a fairy tail pumpkin I picked up at my local Trader Joe's, along with a couple inexpensive bunches of flowers and whipped up this amazing centerpiece!

If you are hosting thanksgiving this year or need a hostess gift for a fall celebration you are attending, whipping this up would certainly make some jaws drop!

After scooping out all the pumpkin insides I put an inexpensive glass vase I purchased at the Dollar Store inside to arrange my flowers inside.

The varieties of flowers I used were:

Spider Mums: White + Orange

Eucalyptus: Silver Dollar + Seeded

Dried Seed Pods

I have it styled here with a halloween runner but to use it for Thanksgiving all you would need to do is change the table runner to a plain linen or fall one.

There are a lot of things you can do to preserve your pumpkin, however I did not do any of them so I could see how long it would last. Mine lasted about 3 days before it was totally rotten.

I wouldn't recommend doing this project that far in advance before your event.

To get more impact with my florals I chose to leave some of my pieces longer so they would drape around the outside of the pumpkin.
