Around 50 years ago, an old farmer taught me this trick. I tried it and it works. Paint gasoline on the leaves with a throw away brush. The plants will die and not comeback. If you did not slop on any wanted plants, there will be no collateral damage.

This is just the thing! I find this works wonderfully. You have to cut down the weed and then brush this on the top of where you cut it. Bonide
