Gravel driveway is easy. Create a border. Buy/order gravel. Spread the gravel. Level and the gravel. Rent a compactor and pack the gravel down. Pavers require digging down 3" plus the thickness of the pavers below ground level. Pour 3" of sand down and level. Lay pavers down checking for level as you go along. Once all the pavers are down sweep sand into the crevices of the pavers to lock them together. Asphalt and concrete require pros.

To William’s point, gravel may not be a legal “all weather surface” where you live and I would check out the City’s ordinances on this before putting it in the front yard.
If you opt for pavers and you reside in a freeze/thaw area, you'll need to thoroughly research the needed depth of subsurface material before installing pavers.
First, check with your local government to ensure what you plan to use is legal. If it is legal, use gravel.
