glue (gorilla glue or e6000) a flat replacement paint pad to a stir stick (Home Depot gives them away), the five gallon size or gallon whichever suits your needs and paint away. Just make sure you have enough room between the wall and tank for the pad you choose to fit.

the pad works great and will bet it will cover further than anyone will ever see.

Had this problem when i painted our dining room with the huge china cabinet. Used the pad as far as it would reach, good enough until we change furniture, re-carpet or move.

If you can see behind the tank, turn the water supply off to the toilet. Flush to empty the tank and unscrew it from the base to remove and paint. 😎

  • Yep, what Robyn said. It’s very easy to remove the tank. If you need further help, an online search will aid you.
