Sometimes I put out tables for my garage sale and put items on each table that I am selling for the same price....one sign for each table...don't need to price each item. Hope this helps. Bigger, higher priced items you would need to put prices on. Be prepared...people will want to bargain.
Have you thought of having a garage sale on two weekends (or more) and bring out some of your things one time and add to it the next weekend? Here I have seen garage sales that start on Thursday and go till Saturday...the people giving them tell everyone that more things will be brought out on another day. Do you have a friend that will come on garage sale day, maybe to be the cashier...that will free you up to talk to the people who come.
Hi Betty, hope this helps you, arrange things logically. Put all the books in one place, all the clothes, all the dishes, etc. Display valuable items close to the house, or close to the inside door if the sale is in a garage, where you can keep an eye on them. If you are holding the sale in the garage, remove everything that's not for sale
Hi Betty, sort them according to use, here is a garage/yard sale checklist you can use to hope this helps you out,

Here is a great checklist!
You can designate tables for small things and have everything on the table the same price. You can use colored stickers to determine the prices (for example all red stickers are $2) Make a poster showing the colors and the prices.
I would keep like items in the same areas. Use several tables and/or a blanket on the lawn. I use stickers with prices on everything. Have fun and good luck!
We just did this...I put tables out and put like items together. I just used signs to price like items the same, I didn't price individual items. No one likes those stickers and it saved me a ton of work.
