Dorene....Not sure what the best is as when I was young my dad put it on our windows and it was just plastic, cardboard strips and he would use small nailing tack (black, I remember) to hold. Now they have much clearer plastic and with some you can use a hair dryer to adhere and hold plus tighten. Just check you local hardware and I'm sure they can advise you on what you might use. Good luck!

Hi ! Years ago I rented an apt . Next to the water , it was a very old house with no insulation !!! We got kits for our Windows from our local electric company ! Call yours to see if they still offer them . The clear plastic attached around the window with tape , the you heated it with a blow dryer and it shrunk right . They worked well .

    Good luck !!!

You can get window film kits at Walmart. It uses double sided tape. Put tape around window frames stick plastic to them, then trim. Using a hair dryer to blow hot air on plastic it pulls tight and is crystal clear. Makes a big difference !!!!

Dollar Tree also has those window film kits each winter. For my clients' RV I use bubble wrap with some water in a spray bottle, works well in offering some insulation whiie letting light in.
