Although chalk paint is great in that generally you don't need to sand etc it really is worth prepping your kitchen units properly, ensuring their is no grease on them. Hi Colleen!! I have painted several kitchen cabinets with chalk paint! I use Annie sloan. No sanding! Did you know that chalk paint was brought to the United States by a mom who was looking for a non toxic paint for her kitchen cabinets?! How neat is that!
