I have 2 big spots of mold on my bathroom ceiling and I want to get rid of it, but not sure what product to use and won't cause a huge mess or drip all over the place. Any ideas anyone? Is there a natural product that can be used?

Dawn...this topic comes up frequently...here is another thread for you to peek at. http://www.hometalk.com/search?filter=ceiling+mold&search=&zipcode=#!/152330 Most find a cleaning with bleach to work with out having to get fancy cleaning products. The use of a vent fan and mildew resistant paint can help keep it away.

Thank you checked it out and now have some ideas on how to get rid of the mold.
  • Removal of the mold is the easy part. Preventing it is the key. You must ventilate the room well when using shower. Also you need to be sure that the ceiling is properly insulated if its located below the attic. The cooler winter temps will cause the moisture to condense faster on the ceiling when its cold out. And with water or moisture you will get mold.

spray the mold spots with bleach. Let it dry and it will be gone!

Buy some Mean Green Mildew spray cleaner. It sells for about $ 2 in Family Dolor stores Make sure its the one that says mildew cleaner. It also comes in just plain mean green. Spray it on any tile or grout or any mildew wait a min or so and wipe it off. it works every time. Its also great to use in any whites with stains make sure you use hot water and you can get every new or old stain off your cloths towels or old rags you want to use again and again.I love the stuff and its cheap.

Leave your glass door open or your shower curtain pulled to the side so the area will dry out some and you will not get the mildew buildup as quickly or not at all
