How do I get the prongs of plastic toy to fit into slots?

Have a hard plastic doll house with a door that has come off. Is there a way to get the little plastic prongs (one side of the hinge) back into the little space where they belong without breaking off the prongs, thus door will no longer stay on toy, and I dont want to break them? My little great granddaughter would appreciate any help you could give to me.

Does the doll house come apart? If you can then try that and put door back on before you put it all together again.

Yep. I agree with Kelli. If you accidentally break the prongs, then buy tiny hinges and Superglue them in place. Touch up any paint or other damage and it should be fine. The hobby dept. in Walmart or Hobby Lobby or Michael’s have lots of options. Jewell

If your gentle you should be able to snap them back in place. Be slow and gentle. If they do break do what Jewellmartin suggests.

Try using a bit of emery paper or a manicure file to smooth the edges to so that it fits in the slots, sand the slots a little bit to. I had a bead that I couldn't get the elastic through so I used a piece of floral wire and used it as a file and it worked it may work on the slots, I used 18 guage wire.
